It's so satisfying to see the MC flexing his power! Although it may seem that SH is way too OP but trust me, for those who have read the novel, Shi Hao deserves to be unrivalled. In fact, I feel that the author is not giving SH his due because he really works his a$$ off at every cultivation level.

For those who are confused, I'm going to give a brief outline. The world where SH is currently living is called the Lower Realm. The world in Perfect World is multi-level and multi-dimensional. It means within each realm, there are other smaller realms/worlds that..

1.) automatically restrict your cultivation level once you enter (like the Void God Realm) - this helps you to cultivate/train yourself to refine your cultivation level.

2.) contains treasures or inheritances - this is the reason SH gets to meet the Upper Realm cultivators because they came to the Lower Realm mainly for treasure hunting. They treat the Lower Realm as "medicine field" where inheritance, divine medicine, etc are ripe for picking and should rightly belong to the more powerful. So yes, the people in the Upper Realm see the Lower Realm as inferior and subservient to them. That's why they thought it's right to do a Julius Caesar: they came, they saw and they conquered.

In fact this Lower Realm arc culminates with the death and resurrection of SH, before moving on to the Upper Realm. I'm sure you can guess the reason for SH's tragic demise. Our MC would never allow his kingdom and his people to be enslaved even if it costs him his life.

The ending of this arc (with the wedding and the great battle), is actually one of the best IMO and so far, the donghua looks promising. Let's keep our fingers crossed for a grand finale.🤞

Also the lower realm is actually a prison, where ancestors of the big clans who committed crimes are sent, just imagine a penal colony, and some of the sects and clans from the higher realms establishes branch sects and clans in the lower realm to keep and eye for talented people and to suppress those that are deemed threats to the higher realms. The lower realm is not only a prison and the Laws of Cultivation is also incomplete, broken as they can, so their comprehension of cultivation is hampered so they do not pose a threat to the higher realm or the very least will find it difficult to become powerful compared with someone of the same cultivation rank from the higher realms

Thanks for reminding me about the prison, this again is another twist from Chen Dong. Sometimes the author is really good at generating slow burn on his readers. Was it almost towards the end that we were told only the Void God Realm is a prison and not the whole “desolate” lower realm?! That is where SH would later go cultivate by fighting with the powerful prisoners chained there. And yet we thought Void God Realm is a relatively harmless place where SH started his life adventures.

Well I guess this is called tying loose ends but boy, I just hate late surprises and delayed karmas! On the other hand, compared to Chen Dong’s interwoven plots and intricacies, TJSS’s relatively straightforward and uncomplicated storytelling can be a crowd puller. What did you compare it to? PW is like fine dining while DD is like a takeout at a fast food restaurant? So what is BTTH? Favourite home cooked meals from mum? Nothing beats mum’s cooking! Lol!!

lol you know how Chen Dong is, nicknames being the norm, unexplained plot items and devices, then kind of retconning certain subplots not to mention like most authors forgetting contents and characters that suddenly come back for no reason other than oh let's use this person

Wang Yu is 2 stars? That’s a very high rating! You almost make me wanna give the novel a second chance. Lol!! But yeah, many people ranked him in the same league as Er Gen.

As for Chen Dong, after skimming through Sacred Ruins, I have to give him credits for tying up loose ends from way back. What’s more notable is that he actually improved his writings in Sacred Ruins and avoided the pitfalls from PW. So he does learn from his flaws and shortcomings.

TJSS would have forgotten what he wrote a few chapters ago and his newer works like DD5 are no better than their predecessors. Perhaps the only compliment I can give him is that the reborn XW in DD5 is much better than the original XW. Speaking of which, I saw a post on Red(dit) asking if people think Mei Gongzi (the new XW) is better than XW, to those who are reading DD5. The top comment reads: “Anyone is better than Xiao Wu!” 😆

did you ever watch the tv series vikings or the second 300 movie? When there is no wind, the oars are used to move the ship. As the treasure boat is probably similar, it most likely can only move the same way.

And... who rows? Unlike in 300... here there are no sailors. In CMA boats are treasure that belongs to one person and only has passengers on occasion. More so, ships... fly and paddle would make 0 traction or it would actually act as break or keep fucking up the altitude due to air friction... not to mention... at those speeds they would just break because of pressure

Or maybe that is for parking valets without spiritual power.

In case you didn't notice, the boat wasn't meant to "fly" but to cruise in the magma sea which was the reason why they asked that guy to take out his treasure boat. It was SH who asked another guy to activate his teleportation device to lift the boat out of the water in order to escape. I think the purpose of the boat is to navigate through otherwise impassable water or magma in this context.

In case you didn't notice, the boat was moving extremely fast even in water... like racing car speed. Care to imagine that paddle needs to move faster than object on surface in order to do what it needs to do. Rowing would be pretty much somewhere with helicopter rotor speed or even faster... yep, people rowing... makes sense... not

Besides, the sails are pointless as well since boat moves on spirit power. Even if you said, that is when they run out of it. Speed of wind would at best get them few km by the time power is restored and boat can move fast again. It is like pissing into the sea and taking measure if see raised any
